Bars - The two main bars in Puy St Vincent 1600 are Au Petit Chamois (little deer) and Le Tire Bouchon (corkscrew). Both are family owned and friendly and good value for money. The Petit Chamois also acts as the meeting place for many British skiers.

Lunch restaurants - Sitting out side the Petit Chamois on a sunny lunch time is excellent and great value for money. It is a great place to eat and enjoy a home made pizza, pasta, salad or a local French specialty dish with a glass of wine. Children are also well catered for.   There are Many good restauarants on the mountain itself including - the "Altitude" Restaurant at 2000 meters is a great stopping off place for mid morning coffee or lunch and a good place to sunbath on deck chairs. It tends to get a bit cold in the afternoon. The "etolie de neige" restauant opened during the 2003-4 season and is a large log cabin at the top of the new high speed six man chair lift that serves excellent food (we recommend the soup if it is a cloudy day) and the hot chocolate is superb! Other restauarnts include "le Tournaux" which is a charming restaurant for walkers, cross country and off piste skiers and "Le Pendine Hotel" by the base of the six man ski lift at PSV 1400.

Restaurants - There are quite a few really good restaurants on the slopes, around the village of Put Saint Vincent and in the pretty village of Vallouise. The food in all restaurants is excellent and typically French with fondues (cheese, meat or chocolate), raclettes (potatoes, cold meats and cooked cheese), pirades (cook your own meat with a variety of sauces, salads and cold meat), tartiflette (potatoes, onions, reblouchon and bacon baked in a pizza oven and served with crusty bread and wine).

Husky Rides - Each evening the husky rides depart from outside our apartment at 1600. They will take a family four and we recommend that you book early so as not to be disappointed. Highly recommended.

Skidoos Rides - Skidoos depart from 1600 throughout the evening as soon as the sun goes down. They are well worth a trip either as a driver or as a passenger.

Ice Skating - Ice skating is available for free opposite the outdoor swimming pools at 1600.

Night Club - There is a night club - Tamara - for those who have enough energy after a full days skiing.
