Travel by Car from UK

The journey takes approximately 10/11 hours from Calais.

The majority of our customers arriving by car from the UK split the journey in two, spending a night in the Dijon, Troyes area, about 4 hours from Calais although some guests share the driving and it can be driven in one journey.

There are many overnight possibilities including motorway budget hotels such as Formule 1 and Etap where out of season you don't have to book.

From Calais. Take the A26 to Reims then A4 and back onto the A26 to Troyes. Then join the A5 to Dijon and Lyon. Just before Lyon take the A46 and then follow the signs for Chambery and Grenoble. Join the A43 and go through Chambery. Continue on the A43 to the Frejus Tunnel and into Italy. After the tunnel you will need to turn off the motorway after about 2 miles and follow the signs for Cesana and Montgenevre (Montgenegro). At Cesana take the road for the Col de Mongenevre. Continue on this road through Claviere and into France until you reach Briancon. At Briancon follow the signs for Gap. At Argentiere turn right and follow the signs for Puy St Vincent. After about 5 miles you will pass a garage on your right and a supermarket. Turn left here and go up the mountain to Puy St Vincent 1400. Go through the village and take a left turn to Puy St Vincent 1600. Travel time is about 10 hours but can vary considerably depending on the traffic and weather conditions.
