Puy St Vincent is 618 miles drive from Calais.

From Calais. Take the A26 to Reims then A4 and back onto the A26 to Troyes. Then join the A5 to Dijon and Lyon. Just before Lyon take the A46 and then follow the signs for Chambery and Grenoble. Join the A43 and go through Chambery. Continue on the A43 to the Frejus Tunnel and into Italy. After the tunnel you will need to turn off the motorway after about 2 miles and follow the signs for Cesana and Montgenevre (Montgenegro). At Cesana take the road for the Col de Mongenevre. Continue on this road through Claviere and into France until you reach Briancon. At Briancon follow the signs for Gap. At Argentiere turn right and follow the signs for Puy St Vincent. After about 5 miles you will pass a garage on your right and a supermarket. Turn left here and go up the mountain to Puy St Vincent 1400. Go through the village and take a left turn to Puy St Vincent 1600. Travel time is about 10 hours but can vary considerably depending on the traffic and weather conditions.

Driving instructions:

From Turin Airport.

Take the Turin Ring Road (Tangienziale) and join the A32 motorway. Leave the A32 at Oulx and follow the signs for Cesana and Montgenevre (Montgenegro). At Cesana take the road for the Col de Mongenevre. Continue on this road through Claviere and into France until you reach Briancon. At Briancon follow the signs for Gap. At Argentiere turn right and follow the signs for Puy St Vincent. After about 5 miles you will pass a garage on your right and a supermarket. Turn left here and go up the mountain to Puy St Vincent 1400. Go through the village and take a left turn to Puy St Vincent 1600. Travel time is about 2 hours 30 minutes.

From Marseille Airport

Take the A55 towards  Aix en Provence and then take the A51 towards Sisteron and Gap. At the end of the motorway follow the signs for Tallard. After about 5 miles take a left turn (D942). At the end of this road turn right onto the N94. Continue on this road to Argentiere where you turn left at the sign for Puy St Vincent. Follow the signs for Puy St Vincent through the town. After about 5 miles you will pass a garage on your right and a supermarket. Turn left here and go up the mountain to Puy St Vincent 1400. Go through the village and take a left turn to Puy St Vincent 1600. Travel time is about 3 hours.

From Nice Airport.

Take the A8 motorway towards Marseille and Aix en Provence. Continue on this road until you reach Aix en Provence and then take the A51 towards Sisteron and Gap. At the end of the motorway follow the signs for Tallard. After about 5 miles take a left turn (D942). At the end of this road turn right onto the N94. Continue on this road to Argentiere where you turn left at the sign for Puy St Vincent. Follow the signs for Puy St Vincent through the town. After about 5 miles you will pass a garage on your right and a supermarket. Turn left here and go up the mountain to Puy St Vincent 1400. Go through the village and take a left turn to Puy St Vincent 1600. Travel time is about 4 hours.

It also is a great base from which to explore its neighbouring resorts, in particular Serre Chevalier and Montgenevre/Milky Way. Both resorts are within a 45-minute drive of Puy and included on the Puy pass all for approx £83.
